CANCELLED: Gorge Women In Business Q2 / Spring Meeting

  • Columbia Center for the Arts (map)

UPDATE - After careful consideration of the rapidly changing coronavirus situation, I have decided to cancel all upcoming GWB events.

The COVID-19 outbreak needs to be better understood and a determination made that large gatherings are no longer a risk to the health of our community.

While the GWB events do not meet the 250 persons threshold set by Governor Brown, the very last thing I would want to be responsible for is accelerating the spread of this virus.

Those who have already purchased tickets will be refunded. I hope to reschedule this panel but do not have a date yet.

If you've spent any time at all learning about how to best market your business, you've run across the term "content is king". This means, the better your can craft unique, compelling and resonating content about your brand, product or business, the more it will land with your target audience and promote sales, growth, customer acquisition, and most importantly, brand recognition and trust.

This quarter we've gathered a panel of experts to speak to how they regularly create compelling, uplifting, hilarious, resonant and frequent content in their businesses. Whether it's text, audio, video or photos, we will be talking about the almighty king: CONTENT.

Your ticket includes light bites, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, networking and audience participation with the panel speakers.

Ticket prices go up on April 1

SENSI GRAVES

Sensi Graves is a professional kiteboarder, entrepreneur, speaker, kiteboarding instructor and writer. In 2007, she tentatively signed up for a kiteboarding lesson in North Carolina’s Outer Banks and immediately fell in love. Just two years later, she applied to be a kiteboarding coach, relocated to the East Coast, and started collecting accolades. The Hood River, Oregon, local regularly places in the top three at some of the biggest international kiteboarding invitationals, garners continuous coverage in kiteboarding magazines, and leads women's kiteboarding retreats worldwide.

In 2012, Sensi launched her eponymous swimwear label, Sensi Graves Bikinis, to meet the demands of her sport (after losing one too many string bikinis in the surf, she decided to tackle the job herself and design suits that actually stay on in rough conditions). Today, Sensi Graves Bikinis is manufactured in the USA from recycled fabric.

SARAH FOX

My biz card says I’m a multimedia producer and I think that’s pretty accurate - I’m sort of a story hunter and gatherer. I produce/host the podcast Hear in the Gorge which has been recognized by OPB, Portland Monthly, Huff Post. And has been awarded grants from the Oregon Heritage Commission and Hood River Cultural Trust. I work as a freelance writer/creative for film, as well. Most regularly, I team with Wahoo Films, which is based in Bend. Also, this year I was hired to be the Host/Curator of the popular Sense of Place Series. In my future is a new podcast about death.
